Breaking Bread

breakbread_webevent 511x402

Each quarter we provide an opportunity for families to connect with others over a meal. Our hope is that three families would gather three times over a meal in three months to get to know each other. Sign-up to meet new people each quarter!

Missional Community

Are you looking for a place to build relationships and engage deeper in your spiritual journey with others? Try out a Missional Community!

Missional Communities are gatherings of families that share life and faith together on the first and third weeks of each month. Our hope is that each Missional Community takes on the character of an extended family that does their part in making disciples.

If you want to try out a missional community experience or two, please let us know!

Women’s Ministry

The women’s ministry at Jamestown Harbor Church is passionate about cultivating authentic relationships and creating a space for all women to belong. Together we can encourage and support each other as we grow in our relationship with God. If you are interested in learning more, contact us at womensministryjhc@gmail.com.

  • +Women’s Ministry: Bible Study Roots

We are offering a women’s Bible study using a program by Beth Moore – It’s Tough Being a Woman.  This study is for women of all ages, and at all stages of Bible knowledge and study experience.

The Beth Moore Esther study is an in-depth study of the Old Testament book of Esther. It utilizes video teaching by Beth Moore that will be viewed as a large group and workbook study that will be completed at home and discussed in small groups.

The small discussion groups will offer encouragement, accountability and connections with other women. Groups will consist of 8-10 women (including the leader). Groups will be assigned at the first meeting and will stay together. New members will be welcomed if they join after the study begins.

Confidentiality within small groups will be vital. Participants will be asked to commit to pray for one another.

When: Monday evenings, 6:00-7:30. Child care will not be provided.

    Where: Fair Haven Church

  • +Women’s Ministry: IF: Flourish

A group of women who will gather bi-weekly to grow, motivate, and multiply. Through empowering videos of the 2018 IF:gathering speakers, authentic conversation, and engaging in God’s word, together we will equip each other to help women find their way back to God. We flourish when we help others flourish.

We meet at Amanda VanStedum’s home every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 9-10:45am. We will conclude most likely in March.

  • +Women’s Ministry: Cultivate Groups

A group of about 6 women who consistently meet every other week. Together we will dig deeper and find ways to follow where God is calling us to go. We will reflect on Jamestown Harbor Church’s current sermons/messages and God’s word. We will recognize our brokenness, celebrate God’s love and grace, and share ways we experience God’s faithfulness in our lives. By praying, listening, and growing together we hope to cultivate a desire to live a life that reflects our loving Savior to all those around us. Ecclesiastes 4:10 “If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”

We plan for these Cultivate Groups to meet for 5 months with groups meeting January through May. Meeting dates/times and locations for each group are noted on the sign up form.
